They earn their reputation for a variety of reasons and not necessarily just for high class food. However they all share one common trait, they all care about presenting an excellent eating experience, whether the establishment is famous or humble.The choices below are a personal view on eating places which you will definitely enjoy if good food and service is important to you. Whether you can afford over 100 euros per couple or budget for 15 euros, there will be something of interest to you below. Los Cristianos, Tenerife Le Bistrot d`Alain The specials board is sensational. This small restaurant serves up superb French cuisine fashioned from over 20 years initial experience in Paris followed by 22 years in Tenerife. Try the medaillones of pork with pruneaux or the veal slices in white wine and mushroom sauce - both wonderful. For postres, just imagine how great these will be! you will not be disappointed. Probably the best eatery in Los Cristianos.		El menú de ofertas es sensacional. Este pequeño restaurante sirve excelente cocina francesa formada más de 20 años de experiencia inicial en París seguida por 22 años en Tenerife. Deguste de medaillones de cerdo con pruneaux o las rebanadas de ternera en vino blanco y salsa de setas - ambos maravilloso. ¡Para postres, solo imagine qué grande éstos serán! no se decepcionará. Probablemente el mejor restaurante en Los Cristianos.
Los Cristianos, Tenerife The Cottage, previously Don Antonio Amid the bustle of the many excellent restaurants in the Calle General Franco is this gem. Unlike its overly-persuasive neighbours, Don Antonio just rely on great service and cooking. They offer the usual varied range of dishes but add a little extra imagination to make all the difference. Their pasteles are to die for, and ridiculously low priced! Yes, the sign has changed!		En medio del bullicio de los muchos excelentes restaurantes en la Calle General Franco es esta joya. A diferencia de sus vecinos demasiados persuasivos, The Cottage sólo concentrarse en dar gran servicio y cocina. Ofrecen la gama variada habitual de platos, pero añaden poca imaginación suplementaria de hacer toda la diferencia. Sus pasteles son sensacionales y son ridículamente bajo precio!
Costa Adeje, Tenerife Café la Bahía The Café La Bahia is one of 14 restaurants, cafés and bars in the Bahia del Duque hotel in Costa Adeje. However this café is an informal little restaurant on the promenade, and open to any customer who appreciates a nice lunch made with good ingredients and not a little inspiration. If you enjoy simple food served with elegance and style, don`t miss this little gem. It is open throughout the day until 5pm. (The café is the one with the parasols in the foreground - the grand architectural edifice in the background is the excellent Bahia del Duque Hotel)		El Café de La Bahia es uno de los 14 restaurantes, cafeterías y bares en el hotel Bahia del Duque Costa Adeje. Sin embargo este café es un pequeño restaurante informal en el paseo maritimey abierto a cualquier cliente que aprecia una buena comida elaborada con ingredientes buenos y no un poco de inspiración. Si te gusta la comida simple con elegancia y estilo, no te pierdas esta pequeña joya. Está abierto durante todo el día hasta 17 (El café es el que tiene las sombrillas en primer plano - el gran edificio arquitectónico en el fondo es el excelente Bahia del Duque Hotel)
Los Cristianos, Tenerife La Taberna del Puerto Situated in the corner of the pretty Plaza de la Pescadora opposite the beach and port. A wonderful Basque cuisine bistrot owned by Pedro and run by an energetic couple from Bilbao. Try the lunchtime Almuerzo saludables for 14.5 euros, includes two courses, wine and coffee. Their menu includes a great range of: fresh local fish; best meats imported from Spain; Paellas and risottos; Tapas ( awards for these); Shellfish (choose from tank) and tasty salads. All this complimented by wines from Navarra and Rioja.		Situado en la esquina de la bonita Plaza de la Pescadora enfrente de la playa y Puerto. Un bistrot de cocina vasca maravilloso propiedad de Pedro y dirigido por una pareja energética de Bilbao. Pruebe la `Almuerzo Saludables` por 14,5 euros, incluye dos cursos, vino y café. Su menú incluye una gran variedad de: pescado local fresco; mejores carnes importadas de España; Paellas y risottos; Tapas (premios para éstos); Mariscos (elegir del tanque) y sabrosas ensaladas. Todo que esto se complementa con los vinos de Navarra y la Rioja.
Los Cristianos, Tenerife La Tasquita de la Playa In every town there are small honest restaurants offering great value for money local cuisine. La Tasquita is run by a family from Barcelona who provide a super lunchtime mix of interesting tapas for a great price: Twelve separate tapas for 10 euros each - fantastic.		En cada ciudad hay pequeños restaurantes honesto que ofrece un excelente valor por su dinero cocina local. La Tasquita está dirigido por una familia de la ciudad de Barcelona que ofrece un almuerzo variedad de tapas interesante a un precio excelente: Doce diferentes tapas por 10 euros cada uno - fantástico.
Los Cristianos, Tenerife Casa del Mar Situated at the port, this smart fish restaurant was surprisingly empty for a Saturday. However the salad of the casa and the tropical salad were excellent. To do the establishment justice you need to try some of their fish or shellfood dishes which are reputedly exceptionally good. Try their Canarian house wine, Viñátigo, from the Lista Negro grape. It has lovely aromas with hints of strawberries, raspberries, and taste which lingers satisfyingly!		Situado en el puerto, este elegante restaurante de pescado era sorprendentemente vacío para el Sábado. Sin embargo, la ensalada de la casa y la ensalada tropical fueron excelentes. Los Cristianos, Tenerife La Taberna Rustica Directly overlooking the beach and the port, this is a well organised restaurant with good chefs. At lunchtime they often have deals of lovely mixed tapas with a jarra of Sangria or glass of house wine. In the evening they have an enormous selection of everything you could think of and more. Some of the more experienced waiters will give you good advice on which dishes are special, and their bottled house wine is excellent. For starters, try their pan de tomate - a simple chunky toasted bread with tomato, Serrano ham and a slice of Manchego cheese - super.		Con vistas a la playa y del puerto, este es un restaurante muy bien organizado con buenos cocineros. Al mediodía, a menudo tienen ofertas de tapas mixtas encantadoras con una jarra de sangría o copa de vino de la casa. Los Cristianos, Tenerife El Romantico An excellent seafood restaurant and part of the `Little Italy` chain of restaurants, El Romantico is situated on Calle Juan XXIII in the central restaurant area. They know how to cook fish and serve up reliable good tasting fayre. Eat outside if it's really warm, but inside is smart and interesting with a wall of wine at one end with all the varieties they sell. Again the bottled house wine is fantastic value for money.		Un excelente restaurante de mariscos y parte de la "Little Italy" cadena de restaurantes, El Romantico está situado en la Calle Juan XXIII en el área del restaurante central. Ellos saben cómo cocinar el pescado y sirven comida buena degustación fiable. Coma al fuera si es realmente caliente, pero dentro es elegante e interesante con una pared de vino en un extremo con todas las variedades que venden. Otra vez el vino de la casa embotellada es fantástica relación calidad-precio.
Los Cristianos, Tenerife Little Italy As you would expect from this professional chain of restaurants in Tenerife, this Little Italy is well organised, with good chefs and good value for money food. It is situated directly across the way from the El Romantico, so they seem to share resources and staff between the two. The selection of dishes is very large, and the service is very quick and efficient. Their Dorada in sauce is quite excellent.		Como se puede esperar de esta cadena profesional de restaurantes en Tenerife, Esta Little Italy está bien organizado, con buenos cocineros y comida de la relación calidad-precio buena. Se sitúa directamente a través del camino del El Romantico, así parecen compartir recursos y personal entre los dos. La selección de platos es muy grande, y el servicio es muy rápido y eficiente. Su Dorada en salsa es completamente excelente.
Los Cristianos, Tenerife Restaurante Los Tarajales Just a short walk from the port along the paseo maritimo near to the boules pitches, you can find Los Tarajales. Their lunchtime mixed tapas has a nice selection of nibbles with very generous portions of tortilla, and at 13 euros for two people is fantastic value for money. Large wine glasses of rosado are also only 2.40 euros.		A pocos pasos desde el puerto a lo largo del paseo marítimo, cerca de los campos de petanca, usted puede encontrar Los Tarajales. Su almuerzo tapas mixtas tiene una buena selección de aperitivos con muy generosas porciones de tortilla, y 13 euros para dos personas es fantástica relación calidad-precio. Grandes copas de rosado son también sólo 2,40 euros.
Los Cristianos, Tenerife Restaurante Las Vistas (and Bora Bora bar) You can`t walk past here without being enthusiastically encouraged by their staff on the paseo, to have something to eat or drink. If you are ready for a bite to eat, don`t resist too much, because the choice of food is good. The Bora Bora (house) salad is excellent and the Paella very tasty. Their house wine rosado was a typically tasty Rioja or Canarian variety to complement a long sunny lunchtime.		No se puede pasar por aquí sin que se animaba con entusiasmo por parte de su personal en el paseo, tener algo para comer o beber. Si usted está listo para comer, no resisten demasiado, ya que la elección de la comida es buena. La ensalada de Bora Bora (casa) es excelente y la Paella muy sabrosa. El vino de la casa rosado fue un típico sabor Canario Rioja o variedad para complementar una larga soleado mediodía.
Playa de Las Americas, Tenerife Mesón La Fresquera If you stay anywhere near Playa de Las Americas ensure you visit this wonderful Mesón. Run by Juan Manuel and Luis Francisco Aparicio, this place is always full for good reason. The food is fantastic with a great selection of typical cocina espanola. Try the lamb a la Segoviana it is quite special. A warning though if you order a starter - the portions are very generous so you will need a good apetite. During the day the establishment doubles as a delicatessen selling a wonderful range of wine, cheese, ham and other delectables. It is not surprising that today it is catalogued as one of the best establishments on the island. Don`t worry about the prices - they are quite modest for the quality provided.		Si se queda en alguna parte cerca del Playa de Las Americas aseguran que visite este maravilloso Mesón. Dirigido por Juan Manuel y Luis Francisco Aparicio, este lugar está siempre lleno por una buena razón. La comida es fantástica con una gran selección de cocina típica española. Probar el cordero a la Segoviana es bastante especial. Una advertencia aunque si pides un entrante - las porciones son muy generosas Por lo que se necesita un buen apetite. Durante el día el establecimiento funciona como una delicatessen vendiendo una maravillosa gama de vino, queso, jamón y otras exquisiteces. No es sorprendente que hoy se catalogue como uno de los mejores establecimientos a la isla. No se preocupe acerca de los precios, son bastante modesto para la calidad que se ofrece.

Playa de Las Americas, Tenerife Imperial Tai-Pan restaurante Situated in the popular Safari CC the service at this Oriental restaurant was first class. All the staff have been well trained by the owner of this restaurant to put customer care as top priority. There is also a full range of Chinese, Thai and Japanese cuisine on offer, including the famous Teppanyaki style which is very popular. Highly recommended!
Playa de Las Americas, Tenerife Bianco Restaurante Adjacent to the Imperial Tai-Pan and belonging to the same proprietor is the excellent Italian style Bianco. This popular restaurant has all white decor and furnishings which gives a clean and bright atmosphere. The friendly staff add to this bright ambience and there is a professional and very lively tempo to the service. The menu offers a comprehensive choice of all typical Italian dishes. Portions are generously sized, well cooked, and imaginatively presented. Try the spaghetti with fillet steak or the chicken breast with creamy sauce. They also offer an interesting strawberry cava which is delicious!		Adyacente a la Imperial Tai-Pan y perteneciendo al mismo propietario es el estilo italiano excelente Bianco. Este popular restaurante tiene todo blanca decoración y mobiliario que le confiere un ambiente limpio y brillante. El amable personal añade a este ambiente brillante y hay un tempo profesional y muy animado para el servicio. El menú ofrece una completa selección de todos los platos típicos italianos. Porciones son generosas, bien cocidos y presentados con imaginación. Pruebe los espaguetis con filete o la pechuga de pollo con salsa cremosa. También ofrecen un interesante cava de fresa que es delicioso!
Playa de Las Americas, Tenerife The Empire Roberto, the owner of Bianco and Tai-Pan above, has opened this excellent new restaurant at the end of 2012. Once again he has created a very smart eatery adjacent to the others, which means the serving staff can support them all. The interior decor is very light and elegant and there is an interesting choice of food. The celery soup and the Waldorf salad starters were delicious. There is a good selection of main courses, but try the salmon with avocado and cream cheese mousse, or the cod marinated in red wine and cooked in white wine! Of course the staff have been trained to the high standard to be expected from Roberto.		Roberto, propietario de Bianco y Tai-Pan anterior, ha abierto este excelente restaurante nuevo a finales de 2012. Una vez más ha creado un restaurante muy elegante contiguo a los demás, que significa que el personal puede apoyar a todos. La decoración interior es muy ligero y elegante y hay una interesante variedad de alimentos. La sopa de apio y los entrantes de ensalada Waldorf eran deliciosos. Hay una buena selección de platos principales, pero prueba el salmón con aguacate y mousse de queso crema, o el bacalao marinado en vino tinto y cocido en vino blanco! Por supuesto el personal ha sido capacitado para la calidad que cabe esperar de Roberto.
Playa de Las Americas, Tenerife El Embrujo This super restaurant opposite the Mare Nostrum Resort serves typical Spanish cuisine. There is a large menu of grilled fish and meat and a good range of tapas, paellas, etc. Their own Embrujo salad for starters is very refreshing before you try the slightly more filling main courses. The Puntas Solomillo in a tasty sauce are wonderful; and the Dorada fish dish was superb. If you can imagine enjoying a gourmet meal whilst being entertained by a talented Flamenco band, then Embrujo is for you. The Santa Digne Rosé wine is also highly recommended!		Este restaurante súper enfrente del Mare Nostrum Resort sirve cocina típica española. Hay un gran menu de pescado y carnes asadas y una buena variedad de tapas, paellas, etc. Su Embrujo ensalada para empezar es muy refrescante antes de probar los platos un poco más relleno. Los Puntas Solomillo en una salsa sabrosa son maravillosos; y el plato de pescado Dorada fue magnífico. Si usted puede imaginarse disfrutando de una comida gourmet mientras se entretiene con un talentoso grupo de Flamenco, entonces el Embrujo es para usted. La Santa Digne vino rosado es también muy recomendable!

Puerto del Carmen, Lanzarote La Cañada If you like your meat, then La Cañada on calle Cesar Manrique is the place to head. The chef cooks your order on the barbecue in the front of the restaurant and you can book a seat nearby to watch the spectacle. Portions are large so be careful not to fill up on other less important accompaniments. If your Spanish is reasonable, talk to the Cabrera family who run and work in the restaurant - they are really nice people.		Si te gusta la carne, entonces La Cañada en la calle Cesar Manrique es el lugar para ir. El chef cocina tu pedido en la barbacoa en la parte delantera del restaurante y usted puede reservar un asiento cercano para ver el espectáculo. Las porciones son grandes así que tenga cuidado de no llenar en otros acompañamientos menos importantes. Si tu español es razonable hable con la familia Cabrera que dirigen y trabajan en el restaurante - son gente muy agradable.
