Tenerife food

It`s just amazing what great dishes are available in a variety of restaurants serving up Tenerife food. The quality on offer is incredibly high and relatively modestly priced. We share below some of the dishes we recently enjoyed on a vacation in Los Cristianos and hope it gives a flavour of the wonderful selection to try of Tenerife food.

Los Cristianos, Tenerife Le Bistrot d`Alain Pork medaillones with pruneaux in a rich fruity sauce and interesting side dishes. Wine accompaniment was Marques de Caceres rosado.		Le Bistrot d`Alain Medaillones de cerdo con pruneaux en una rica salsa con sabor a fruta y platillos interesantes. Acompañamiento vino fue Marqués de Cáceres rosado.
Los Cristianos, Tenerife Le Bistrot d`Alain Veal in a white wine and mushroom sauce. The French just know how to make wine sauces - I suppose they have had a lot of practice. This dish was so tasty, we would visit Los Cristianos again just to enjoy Alain`s cooking of this popular recipe.		Ternera en salsa de seta y vino blanco. Los franceses sólo saben cómo hacer salsas de vinos - Supongo que han tenido mucha práctica. Este plato era tan sabroso, visitaríamos Los Cristianos otra vez sólo para disfrutar de la cocina de Alain de esta receta popular.
Los Cristianos, Tenerife Le Bistrot d`Alain A tasty vegetable consommé with interesting accompaniment of egg, tomato and other things.		Un sabroso consomé de vegetal con acompañamiento interesante de huevo, tomate y otras cosas.
Los Cristianos, Tenerife Don Antonio Restaurante Lovely starter salad with pine nuts salad and pan tostado with ham and cheese. Good mix of naughty and nice foods with toasted home made bread and healthy salad.		Preciosa ensalada de arranque con piñones ensalada y pan tostado de jamón y queso. Buena mezcla de alimentos traviesos y agradables con pan casero tostado y ensalada saludable.
Los Cristianos, Tenerife Don Antonio The lovely tartas of Don Antonio`s. The chocolate layered cake with the orange on top was divine..		Las encantadora tartas de Don Antonio. La torta capa de chocolate con naranja en la parte superior era divina...
Los Cristianos, Tenerife La Taberna del Puerto Part of their `Healthy Lunch Option` this fish was stuffed with a tasty filling of spinach and cheese, complemented with giant mussels, potatoes and vegetables.		La parte de su `Opción del Almuerzo Sana` este pescado se llenó de un relleno sabroso de espinaca y queso, complementado con verduras, patatas y mejillones gigantes.
Los Cristianos, Tenerife La Taberna del Puerto This green bean potato salad was presented in a sort of timbale which also contained tuna, boiled egg, tomato and cucumber flavoured with a really tasty dressing. It actually doesn`t look that appealing here in the photo, but it was absolutely top notch!		Esta ensalada de judias verde y patatas se presentó en una especie de timbal que también contenía atúnhuevo hervido, tomate y pepino condimentado por un aliño realmente sabroso. En realidad no parece tan atractiva en la foto, pero es absolutamente categoría superior!
Los Cristianos, Tenerife Café/Bar Tarajales This simple luncheon tapas selection from an ordinary cafe/bar on the side of the paseo maritime, was typical of wonderful tenerife food. It consisted of: massive slices of tortilla; papas arrugadas with canarian sauces; chicken pieces with garlic; croquets; and deep fried little green pimientos. Accompany such honest fayre with very gluggable Canarian rosado and some Tenerife sunshine and you have one definition of heaven!		Esta selección de tapas de simple almuerzo de un café/bar ordinario en el lado del paseo marítimo, era típico de la maravillosa comida de tenerife. Consistió en: enormes trozos de tortilla; papas arrugadas con salsas Canarias; piezas del pollo con ajo; croquets y fritos pimientos verdes pequeños. Acompañar tal fayre honesto con rosado Canaria excelente y algunos sol de Tenerife y tiene una definición del cielo!
Los Cristianos, Tenerife La Tasquita Great value mixed tapas at this tiny restaurant consisted of:- prawns with garlic; kebabs; grilled mushrooms; fried squid; rice with quail eggs; dates with bacon; Manchego cheese and Serrano ham; smoked salmon; tortilla; ensalada rusa; and more!		Gran valor tapas mixtos en este pequeño restaurante consistió en:- gambas al ajillo; Brochetas; setas a la plancha; calamares fritos; arroz con codornices huevos; Datiles con bacon; Queso manchego y jamón Serrano; salmón ahumado; Tortilla; ensalada rusa; ¡ y más!

Los Cristianos, Tenerife El Romantico This sole in champagne and mushroom sauce was delightful as anticipated at this well run restaurant. It was served with a healthy portion of papas arrugadas, sauces and vegetables, which completed the gastronomic picture.		Esta pescado en champán y salsa de setas era deliciosa como se anticipó en este restaurante bien gestionado. Se sirve con una saludable porción de papas arrugadas, salsas y verduras, que completó el cuadro gastronómico.
Los Cristianos, Tenerife Little Italy This Dorada Vigiliosa with prawns, celery and white wine sauce is served with rice marinera and garnish salad. Very tasty indeed!		Este Dorada Vigiliosa con gambas, apio y salsa de vino blanco se sirve con ensalada de arroz marinera y guarnición. Muy sabroso en efecto!
Los Cristianos, Tenerife La Taberna Rustica You can rely on this restaurant to offer a great tapas selection and this is it. Good portions of: Canarian potatoes with sauces; salmon; various seafood; Serrano ham; pork; cheeses; peppers; salad; etc. Accompany with a salad of the house and pan tomate, and all you need is a nice wine. Order a rosado from Rioja, and you have a dream lunch.		Usted puede confiar en este restaurante para ofrecer una selección de tapas grandes y eso es todo. Buenas porciones de: las papas arrugadas con salsas, salmón, varios mariscos, jamón Serrano; carne de cerdo, quesos, pimientos, ensalada, etc. Acompañe con una ensalada de la casa y pan de tomate, y todo lo que necesita es un buen vino. Pida un rosado de Rioja, y tiene un almuerzo del sueño.
Los Cristianos, Tenerife Restaurante Las Vistas (and Bora Bora bar) Simple, yet tasty lunchtime paella. This little promenade restaurante at the Las Vistas playa is ideal for watching the world go by. It also offers a great paella individually cooked each time.		Simple pero sabrosa paella del mediodía. Este pequeño restaurante en el paseo Las Vistas playa es ideal para ver el mundo pasar. También ofrece una gran paella cocinada individualmente cada vez.
Playa Las Americas, Tenerife *Restaurante Embrujo - Tapas Bar and Grill* This Dorada fish dish was served with roasted garlic slithers and accompanied by canarian potatoes, carrots and salsify. The delicate flavour of this tasty fish combined with the side dishes to give a wonderful overall experience. Great food!		Este Dorada plato de pescado se sirve con rebanadas ajo tostado y acompañado de las papas arrugadas, zanahorias y salsifí. El delicado sabor de este sabroso pescado se combinó con los acompañamientos para dar una experiencia maravillosa en general. ¡Gran comida!
Los Cristianos, Tenerife La Casa del Mar The restaurant serves up many more interesting dishes than a salad; but if you just fancy something light and refreshing at lunchtime, this tropical salad hits the spot. A good combination of mango, guava, pineapple, avocado with tomatoes and other salad.		El restaurante sirve muchos platos más interesantes que una ensalada; pero si sólo quieres algo ligera y refrescante al mediodía, esta ensalada tropical es perfecta. Una buena combinación de mango, guayaba, piña, aguacate, tomates y otro ensalada.
