Mijas is one of the most attractive towns on the Costa del Sol, a few kilometres inland from Fuengirola. It covers 150 square kilometres and comprises several regions on the coast including: Cala de Mijas;Calahonda;Riviera del Sol;and Sitio de Calahonda. Although very popular with the tourists, it has managed to keep its original unique identity going back to Moorish periods. The snaps below paint a personal view of the town from local resident, Kevin Stephenson.

Try one of the restaurants with a panoramic view. The El Mirlo Blanco surprisingly offers Basque cocina at very reasonable prices.
